NFL running back DeAngelo pays for 53 mammograms in honor of his mom.  The DeAngelo Williams Foundation paid for mammograms for 53 women in honor of his mom who died in 2014 at the age of 53 from battling breast cancer.  The NFL has been a big supporter of honoring Breast Cancer month by allowing the players to wear pink during the month of October but DeAngelo wanted to do more.  He provided the test for women in Pittsburgh and Charlotte, North Carolina, 53 test for the years that his mom lived.

When I read about the contributions that The DeAngelo Williams Foundation did I had to blog about it for he is really making a difference in women’s lives.  Early testing is critical with dealing with Breast Cancer and he is making this available for many women.  What a way to honor your mom…help saving the lives of others!
